History and Background Of The San Vision Foundation
The San Vision Foundation was established in 2018 in response to the pressing need to address the historical and ongoing marginalization of the San people, particularly the !Xun and Khwe communities in Platfontein, South Africa. Historically displaced and excluded from mainstream society, the San communities have faced significant challenges in accessing education, healthcare, and economic opportunities.
The Foundation was born out of a collective effort to not only address these challenges but also advocate for the recognition of the San people’s rights at the global level.Over the years, the Foundation has gained significant traction and influence in advocating for indigenous rights, achieving notable milestones such as winning the South African Youth Awards for “Change Maker of the Year” in recognition of its community development initiatives and advocacy efforts. Additionally, the Foundation has been a key player in advocating for the inclusion of indigenous voices in climate change and other International Platforms.- we love what we do
